At Wortha Farm, the main house being late Regency in style constructed around the 1830's, has picturesque views to the west overlooking Brentor Church. The farm is set in 42 acres and sits on the edge of West Blackdown, where wild moor meets the north-eastern edge of the Tavistock/Tamar Valley pastures. Spend your days discovering the surrounding area as there are many things to do nearby. Your home away from home gives you access to a house designed to allow you to live as a local.
The fields from the house slope gently down to the River Burn. Beyond which the fields rise up to the world-renowned St Michael De Rupe church which has sat atop Brentor since the original structure of 1130AD. This landmark dominates the landscape. At Wortha Farm, the sun rises over the wild moorland to the east and sets behind the silhouetted church to the west.
As a self-catering house, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The brand new fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a 6 slice toaster, a kettle, a freezer and a microwave.
The house is a perfect place to relax and offers a television and high speed internet access, a games room where the kids (and big kids) can play pool or their favourite game on the PS4

With the capacity to sleep 14 people plus 2 travel cots.
The breakfast / dining room has 2 tables for guests and stunning views over the garden.

House Rules:
- Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There is on-site parking facilities for 4 cars available at the property.
- Pets (dogs & cats) are allowed at the property, the first is free and a second is chargeable at £10 per night, they must be under supervision at all times.
- Gas BBQ use is £25/stay
- Fire pit/ BBQ is available at £10 with wood at £5 per bag.
There is a wide variety of places to eat out, from award winning restaurants, charming country pubs and cafes not far from Wortha Farm.
There is also a number of takeaway restaurants.

From panoramic sweeping bays to secluded sheltered coves, the South-West coast is home to some of the UK's finest beaches. So whether it's adventure or relaxation you are after, all are available, most within an hours drive of Wortha Farm.

Wortha Farm sits on the doorstep of Dartmoor National Park, so wether you are looking for cycle routes, great walking routes or horse riding locations, you never have far to go.

We stayed for 12 days at Phils cottage with our 1.5 year old. The cottage is small and cosy, but the location is just marvellous. You're staying on the doorstep of Dartmoor National park, which allows for plenty of walking and discovering. Furthermore, the view from the cottage and the garden is amazing. The garden is large and great for kids to play. Nearest town Tavistock is about 10 mins by car and has everything you need for shopping. Phil was a great host. Even though we only briefly saw each other every now and then, we could always ask if we needed anything. We can recommend this place for peace and quiet, especially with kids.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Phil's property. The view up onto the hills and the Brentor church is amazing and something we will remember for a very long time.
