We had a great time in the house with our two children. The house is really great and tidy. Everything you need is available. We felt very comfortable. We hope that we will have the chance to come back again. Thanks for your hospitality!
Our stay at this lovely Barfleur home was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for our family of seven to sleep comfortably. The home was very clean and well stocked with all the supplies that we needed, and was situated across from the beautiful harbour and just down the street from the town, which had several wonderful restaurants and shops. Valerie was extremely helpful in setting up our stay and making sure that we were greeted upon arrival on our first day. The best part for us was the serenity of the location! Our stay was quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life that we normally live. We enjoyed putting together a jigsaw puzzle, walking along the harbour, and eating in the local restaurants, which were delicious. The home was absolutely charming and impeccably kept up. We will definitely stay there again when we return to France. The only issue for us was the distance from the American Cemetery in Colville-Sur-Mer. We were not prepared for the long drive, but at this time of year, it’s difficult to find any accommodations in Normandy so we were grateful to have a place to stay which was able to accommodate our large family. Having found Barfleur, we now see it’s charm and would definitely stay there again. One other note: this property is not set up for anyone with disabilities other than on the first floor. There is a bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom on the first floor but otherwise all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second and third floors with no lift. We had a very pleasant holiday in this fine gite. It has all facilities and a woodstove wich was very nice in March. Not expensive and near the center of Wissant and near the beach and the beautiful backland where you can spot deers, hares and pheasants. We are defenitly coming back here.
Catherine and Patrick were very welcoming and accommodating during our stay, the chalet is only 3 minutes from the bars and restaurants in the village and is the most spacious we have ever stayed in over the past 5 years of renting ski chalets in the region. I definitely would recommend this chalet for large families.

The gîte was peaceful and comfortable. Good weather meant we had lovely breakfasts out on the decking and helped us to enjoy the lakes and lovely countryside nearby. Thank you to Gérard and Claudine for giving us lots of information and tips in addition to a very warm welcome.

we rent this house for one week in april. 2 adults and 3 children.
it was comfortable and cosy and very close to the beach.The contact with the owner was plesant and clear. Wissant was very quiet becose of the season but that is what we like. we also loved de beautiful surroundings.

A lovely property situated in private enclosed grounds. It was very well equipped & we felt very much at home. Only a 5 mins walk to a beach & a 10 mins drive to the main shops in St Pierre.
All lovely as before...this is the second time we have stayed here! This time we stayed in the smaller apartment. All really lovely, but if you are used to luxurious bedding I would recommend you bring your own duvet and comfy pillows. We were told there were blankets to use!! We stayed for 2 weeks, so is quite important for me to have quality bedding. Apart from that all very very good!, warm, sunny, well equipped and very convenient for the supermarket!

Excellent stay. House really well prepared, with extense space. Everything worked as expected. We recommend it specially for families wishing to enjoy a good skiing week.

This has been our second time renting this lovely Chalet and we entend to go back again. It is very comfortable very well equiped and ideal for a family. The chalet is located very close to the village so getting around by foot is very easy. Charmey is a beautiful village and offers many activities (out door heated swiming pool, ski resort, hiking....).
The lovely apartment is more like a house. It is very spacious with separate kitchen, dining and living rooms and well as three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is well fitted out with a good size fridge and a good stove and microwave.
Ribeauville itself is a charming town with plenty of choice for self catering as well as restaurants. It is also centrally located for discovering the Alsace area. Free parking was not a problem..
Hosts Nadje and Guy were wonderful. They collected us from Colmar when we arrived dead tired after a 30-hour flight and took us in again next day to collect the car. We invited them to dinner one night to get tot know them better and to show our appreciation for how well they treated us.
This apartment was extremely good value and you are guaranteed that you will be well looked after by Nadje and Guy.
The property was exactly as we had hoped from both the advertisement and from our correspondence with the owner. Our family of 7 adults enjoyed a wonderful week in a very beautiful and relaxing environment. The house was simple but with everything we needed and the relaxed spacious living areas and rooms suited us perfectly. The surrounding fields and woods were idyllic - great for walks and exploration and stunningly beautiful. Located near Sarlat, it was a perfect jumping off point for visits in the region, but equally a wonderful place to spend a quiet day - by the pool, reading, chatting over a meal, or walking. Mr Van Roy was a perfect host - welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating of my poor French, but never obtrusive. And we all loved Baloo the dog!
