This holiday house (one of the "blue houses") with sea views is nestled into a hilly landscape with olive and carob trees.
The holiday house is surrounded by a garden with an array of Mediterranean plants and fruits. In the outdoor area, a pergola with wisteria and clematis provides shade. The outdoor area is furnished with a large table, four chairs and two deckchairs. You can find a hammock and two further deckchairs in the shade of an evergreen carob tree. On the 10,000m², completely fenced plot of land there is a large parking area in the shade of a centuries-old carob tree.
The living space (about 30m²) is on two floors. On the ground floor there is a living room with a table and four chairs and a sofa that is composed of two beds one above the other (suitable for two children). The living room also has a kitchen corner, equipped with a gas stove, mini oven, kettle and fridge with freezer compartment. Stairs lead from the living room to the upper floor, where there are a bathroom with a shower and bidet, and a bedroom with two single beds. The single beds can also be joined together into a double bed.
Two bicycles are available. The owners live on site. The nearest beach is in Pozzallo (4km away), a small vibrant town with long sandy beaches. There you can also find various supermarkets, fishmongers, restaurants and post offices, banks, the train station and the long-distance busses of the "AST Azienda Siciliana trasporti". Scicli is about 16km away, the centre of Modica about 10km away, and it is about 22km to Ragusa Ibla, 30km to Noto and 50km to Siracusa. Fontanarossa airport in Catania is about an hour's drive away. You can get to Malta by ferry from Pozzallo harbour in about one and a half hours.
The garden was filmed by SKY and the "blue houses", which were designed by the house owners (architects), were published in the architecture magazine "Abitare".
