Pleasant and bright holiday apartment in the centre of the port city of Genoa. The attic flat with sloping ceilings has large skylights in the living area and bedroom, a small terrace and a large mezzanine above a spacious walk-in wardrobe. A few minutes' walk from the antico Mercato Orientale market in the east of the city centre, one of the ten most characteristic city markets in Europe with gastronomic routes, cooking schools, wine tastings, many typical products, restaurants and shows. The apartment is close to the old town, the metro, the Arc de Triomphe, the steps of Christopher Columbus' three caravels, the theatre, the imposing cathedral, museums and the port with the possibility of boat trips to Portofino, the Cinque Terre area or whale watching. The characteristic old town centre with buildings from different eras and narrow streets offers numerous shops and typical restaurants: ideal for shopping and dining. The historic noble palaces Palazzi dei Rolli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are also located in the old town centre. The second largest aquarium in Europe is located in the old harbour. The train station is 400 metres away and allows you to reach the most beautiful beaches and towns in the Liguria region by train. The important historical building Palazzo Ducale hosts numerous art exhibitions throughout the year. We recommend tasting the typical flavours of Liguria: extra virgin olive oil, pesto (the popular basil sauce), farinata di ceci (chickpea pie) and focaccia (Ligurian flatbread with olive oil and lard). Excursions and walks in the Cinque Terre area, the Riviera di Levante, Genoa, the Cinque Terre and Portofino are available on request and for a fee. Also available: tastings in the holiday apartment, grocery shopping, private transfers, inflatable boat rental, car rental also with driver, cooking classes, babysitting, children's entertainment, organisation of events and birthdays, Italian language courses (we recommend booking these services in advance).
