This very nice vacation home with screened pool and enclosed garden is located in Argeliers, a cozy village touched by the Canal du Midi. 35 minutes separate this vineyard-lined villa from Valras and Gruissan with their lovely fine sandy beaches, and 16 km away the city of Narbonne awaits your visit. A small sandy path will take you to the banks of the canal. The place is very quiet and is nestled in a protected nature. You can look forward to a very comfortable villa. French doors in the kitchen lead you to your terrace and to the adjacent pool with Roman steps and underwater lighting for the evenings. The pleasantly shaded towpaths along the Canal du Midi are great for cycling and walking. The canal and its many bridges and locks have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. You can also spend a nice time at the bathing lake Lac de Jouarres. Sporty vacationers can go canyoning, caving and climbing, take a canoe trip on the Orb from Roquebrun or fish in the river. Béziers is about 30 minutes away, and 47 km away is Carcassonne with its unique fortress complex from the Middle Ages: an absolute highlight. In the surroundings of Argeliers are many charming villages, such as Bize-Minervois, Aigne, Minerve, Saint-Chinian, Olargues, Gruissan and Lagrasse. Cap d'Agde 1 hour, Montpellier 1 hour and 20 minutes. Further away, the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, the Orb and Jaur valleys in Hérault, the gorges of Héric and Colombières, the Caroux and Espinouse massifs and the Somail forest await you. The scent of the vineyards when they bloom in June reminds one of honeysuckle.
