The space

The accommodation
From the house and its spacious rooms, you can enjoy fantastic sea and mountain views, more impressive even if you access the Infinity pool with tropical design located in front of the house. The Panorama pool, located in the upper level , is open and conditioned all year round, except for maintenance and improvement purposes, that could be scheduled during the low season. Access to the pools and sunbeds are free and private to the complex.

The courtyard garden located in a wing of the house and terrace with barbecue in the other, with the kitchen and living room in between, makes it ideal for a relaxing holiday without space problems. The four bedrooms are on the second and third floor, including the master bedroom, very spacious, with another terrace and double bathroom (bathtub and shower stall). Apart has another bathroom and a toilet distributed at each level.

Soundproofing and insulation double glazed. Hot and cold air conditioning, Tv and satellite channels in several languages. Internet wifi. The beds and mattress are excellent quality to ease you a full night sleep.

Setting
The house is located in the residential area of "Fuentes de Almuñecar" in the Tropical Coast, highly appreciated in the area. It's quiet. All around are mountain and beach landscapes and its tropical climate, mild in summer and warm in winter offers the travelers the whole year option to stay with 320 sunny days a year as an average.

It is very close (4 minutes by car) to several beaches in the form of coves, sandy type, gravel or cliffs and more enlivened beaches with its promenade and town center (5 minutes by car) with all kinds of shops, bars and cheerful all year round.

For skiing lovers, Sierra Nevada, just one hour drive, is an ideal choice. And for those who prefer the historical and cultural tourism, the ancient moresque castle Granada's Alhambra and the old town, only 50 min drive, will leave an unforgettable print in your memory.

Almuñécar old town is 700 meters away. Almuñécar moorish castle is about 700 meters from the house. Marina del Este sport port is 1 km away. Beyond, is the pretty village and horseshoe-shaped bay of La Herradura and another large natural promontory. Farmhouses and small hamlets dot the area overlooked by the Peña Escrita natural park. Granada and the old moresque castle of La Alhambra 70 km. Sierra Nevada ski resort 80 km.

Further details
Almunecar and its handsome Moorish castle sit on a small hill between the mouths of two rivers - the Río Seco and the larger Río Verde. The latter runs through Almunecar's Tropical Valley, a fertile area of mainly subtropical fruit orchards that line the valley floor and climb the terraced hillsides. To the west of the town lies the Punta de la Mona, a pineclad headland sheltering the attractive Marina del Este sports port and home to a number of luxury urbanisations. Beyond, is the pretty village and horseshoe-shaped bay of La Herradura and another large natural promontory, Cerro Gordo, which marks the end of the municipality and province. Inland, the approximately 80 km² municipality rises into the hills which form an impressive backdrop to the coast. Farmhouses and small hamlets dot the area overlooked by the Peña Escrita natural park.
Almuñécar was founded by the Phoenicians almost 3000 years ago and has since been occupied by a succession of Mediterranean cultures including, most importantly, the Romans and the Moors. Attracted by the rich trade in local products, the town was one of the most important ports on Spain's Mediterranean coast. Evidence of the area's importance can be seen in the numerous monuments that still exist, especially the Roman fish factory and aqueduct.

Local tourism has traditionally been Spanish and confined to the summer season, especially August when the town is packed out. Important fiestas such as Easter and Christmas are also very busy. Foreigners tend to visit mostly during the Spring and Autumn months when the weather can be superb compared to the north, while winter, apart from Christmas, is relatively quiet.

Foreign residents are a mixed bunch with representatives from most European countries living here year round. French, Belgian, German and English nationalities are the most common, though not necessarily in that order, while the Scandinavians, particularly the Danish, are increasing their numbers.

Guest access

The house is rented as a whole. To access to the different nearby beaches, black sandy beaches, cobblestone or tropical green grass and palm trees coves you can go by walking or jogging in about ten minutes through the shortcut, approximately 700 meters. away. Although if you are carrying heavy stuff or you prefer to use a car then you need to take the conventional roads, about five minutes drive

Interaction with guests

Any query or problem whilst the guests stay in the house is promptly answered and sorted out either by myself or by my housekeeper who is local and can attend very easily.

Other things to note

The welcome pack is emailed to every guest with detailed information on how to arrive, wifi details, small tourist guide with beaches around, restaurants, attractions, etc. The wifi internet is fibre optic very fast, reliable and unlimited all included in the price. The bed linens, towels for the bathroom and beach are also provided and all set up when you arrive.

When inside the house you can open the door using the handle and if the door is locked manually turning the Nuki knob by hand or pushing Once the centre button of the Nuki lock. Please do not push it twice to avoid auto-locking after a fixed time out period.
When outside opening or closing it is very simple just swipe left or right in the Nuki app and that is, you will hear the key lock turning.
Important: The Smart Lock is a high tech gadget and a secure one. If you have children in your group please do not let them play with the device. You need to care also that the latch is not out before closing the door to avoid damage to the mechanism. There is also a transmitter that it is part of the smart lock to operate the Nuki and that it is plugged in to a socket behind the dinner table. This transmitter cannot be unplugged or tampered in any way in order to avoid disruption to the house access during your stay.
Please care the Smart Lock nicely, it is robust and it can be attractive for kids to play with. Damaging, tampering or altering the Smart Lock in any way can lead to a repair or replacement fee of up to 300€.
Internet
We have a very good internet in the house, fibre optic. The login details are Radiokable-2b5 and the password is Gt031289Ma. The router is by the main Tv side in the living room. Please do not punch the reset button or attend to hack the router because you will lose all connection and re-configuring would cost you a fee of 50€. It cannot be done remotely or by a non-authorised person, not even by myself when I am in the house. If you have kids in your party please do not let them know the password because the kids will make friends with some others in the resort and they will end up giving the password to their new friends which ultimately will lead to a depletion in your wifi signal.
Swimming pools
There is two pools in the resort. The Infinity Pool located in the same street of the house just a few meters away and the Panorama Pool located in the upper level of the resort for amazing views of the cove. You can get up to the Panorama Pool by the stairs in front of the house door all the way up to the very top or driving around the resort to the very top in a couple of minutes.
The Infinity Pool opens from June 15th to Sep 15th and the Panorama Pool opens all year round, one of the few places with one pool open all year. If Maintenance needs to carry out some works in the pool they will do it between Nov-feb and it can be off-service. Still you can use the sunbeds in there.
Access to both, the Panorama Pool and Infinity Pool is only possible with the swimming pool host key that will be hanged down behind the house door with the front patio door, both with a yellow ribbon.
You need to be extremely careful with the pools key as the resort administration only grants One per house without possibility of making copies. Losing this key will oblige me to fill out a new key form request to the resort administration paying a fee of 50€ that you would be liable for. So please do not give it to small kids or leave it in the pool or beach.
Tv Remote and Satellite
The dining room flat Tv is really easy to operate. You can connect the chrome-cast to it. The Satellite encoder is connected via a Scart cable. If you have the red Led on the small black box by the Tv that means that the satellite encoder is off and then you will watch the regular Spanish channels. If you turn on the black box with the Engel remote (not the Lg for the Tv) then you will see a green Led in the black box and the Tv will switch automatically to the satellite mode.
But I cannot guarantee any previous guests messing around with the tuning of the channels and they might be disorganised or a different satellite selected. Re-syncing them should not be a major problem for you.
Losing, breaking or damaging the remotes will lead to a repair or replacement fee of 50€. Please use them with care.
