Quietly situated in the countryside between Oranto and the Alimini Lakes this characterful villa retains the stone walls and beautiful vaulted ceilings of an original historic building. The property comfortably sleeps 4 guests and is the smaller of two detached villas separated by a swimming pool at your disposal from 8am to 8pm.
Ideally set up for outdoor living the villa is laterally arranged and enjoys a large, covered patio with a sun terrace. Inside, the open-plan living room is furnished with a double sofa bed and a dining table. This area also incorporates a small kitchen fitted with; a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave, a coffee machine and a fridge freezer.

Bedroom 1: The bedroom is air conditioned and is furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe. This room also enjoys access to the patio.

Location
The property is located in the countryside to the north of the city of Otranto (a 5-minute drive), close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy and the incredible conservation area of the Alimini Lakes (a 10-minute drive).
Whether you're interested in birdwatching, swimming, or nature walks the Alimini Lakes (Alimini Grande & Piccolo) with their unique blend of freshwater and saline environments, provide a memorable experience for nature lovers. There are various car parks in the pine forests surrounding the lakes, one with a visitor centre on the western side of Alimini Grande.
The crystal-clear waters and exceptional sandy shores of Baia dei Turchi (Bay of Turks) and Alimini Beach (a 7-minute drive) are situated to the east of the lakes. To reach the beaches and the main lidos, you must cross the pine forest. Visitors can leave their car in one of the car parks on the coast road and catch one of the free trains and shuttles to the beach.
In Oranto, (a 5-minute drive) visitors can enjoy the charming old town, medieval castle and Byzantine-era cathedral. The ideal choice for a day trip the city also enjoys several beaches including the central Spiaggia dei Gradoni and Spiaggia della Riviera degli Haethey. Swimming and snorkelling are popular due to the clarity of the water and visitors will find sunbeds and umbrellas to hire as well as a selection of bars and restaurants nearby.
The beautiful Baroque city of Lecce, known as the "Florence of the South" is a 30-minute drive.
The closest international airport is Brindisi-Salento Airport (BDS) approximately a one-hour drive from the accommodation. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of June 2024 to the 1st of October 2024
