Description of
The villa was designed by architect Professor Walter Angonese and artistically interpreted by the artist Manfred Alois Mayr. It is a modern jewel, not at all a common place, with strong connections to the architectural past.On the ground floor there is one double bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom, an extra shower bathroom and a living room which can be used as double bedroom. Outdoors, but sheltered by a canopy, there is a private whirlpool. Nearby you find the spacious Mediterranean garden with sunbeds.Highlight of the garden is the outdoor-pool with an environmentally friendly salt water electrolysis cleaning system. Your skin will enjoy its soft natural water. The spa area, a perfect place for relaxation, has a Fin- and Bio Sauna. The centre of the villa is the dining and living room on the first floor. It offers a wonderful view to the surrounding mountains and the fragrant Mediterranean garden. In front of the living room there is a beautiful wisteria shaded terrace. A cosy patio, where you can sit and barbecue, invites to dolce vita. The last floor, the show piece of the building, is occupied by the impressive master bedroom with freestanding bath tub. Of course, the house offers all the amenities of modern living: high-quality design furniture (Plank, Rossin, Flos, Roberti Rattan) combined with local materials and traditional craftsmanship, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, free WLAN, flat- screen TV, fireplace, air conditioning, outdoor grill, cot, bath towels and robes, etc. Dogs are allowed. The Villa offers 2 car parking spaces in the own underground car park. The Villa can accommodate on 200m² 4-6 people. The Villa is only a short walk from the centre of the historic wine village Kaltern.Various shops, restaurants, bars, an ice cream parlour, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, wine shop and public bus station can be reached in 2-3 minutes. Still, you live in full privacy.Kaltern/Caldaro is in South Tyrol, an area where Tyrolean and Italian culture meet. It is a land of scenic extremes. Once harsh and barren, with the Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage), where the mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner earned his spurs, and the eternal ice, where the 5000-year-old glacier mummy "Ötzi The Iceman" was found. Then, on the other hand in the south lovely, Mediterranean, with palm trees, cypresses, strawberry trees and even passion flowers, "where a gentle mild air fills the area," as Goethe already noted in 1786.The hilly landscape in the south is dominated by picturesque wine villages, imposing castles, numerous historic residences. Without mountains like Schlern, Rosengarten and Marmolata and without hearing people mainly speak German, you might think to be in Tuscany.Kaltern's local backyard mountain is the Mendel, which can be reached by the Mendel Cable Car. It is an ideal starting point for many hikes. Only 2 km south of Kaltern is Lake Kaltern, the warmest swimming lake in the Alps.In and around the village you can visit a large number of the best wineries and wine producers in South Tyrol. If you want to treat yourself to some fine food you will be spoiled for choice: from the quaint, rustic pub, to the typical Italian pizzeria and up to the Michelin star restaurant, they are all nearby. For years, South Tyrolean winemakers and chefs have been among the most awarded in Italy.Highlights are offered throughout the year: concerts and music festivals, culinary weeks and village festivals, traditional parades and demanding sporting events.Short descriptionOther : Non-smoking houseShort description 1Number of kitchens : 1Other rooms : SaunaSurroundingNearby sports facilities : Bike tours, Climbing, Cross-country skiing, Diving, Fishing, Golf course, Hunting facilities, Ice skating, Indoor riding arena, Mountain climbing, Mountainbiking, Riding possibilities, Sailing, Skiing (alpin), Sport center, Surfing, Tennis, ToboggenRental Facilities : Bicycle rental service, Boat rental service, Ski-, Snowboard, car rentalGarden and outdoorGarden facilities : Garden furniture provided, Grill, Playground equipmentOn-site leisure facilities : Outdoor swimming pool exclusive use, Sauna, Separate fitness room, Swimming pool, Table tennis, WhirlpoolService benefitsService facilities (may incur additional costs) : Cleaning service during your stay, Shopping service before arrival, Transfer service (airport etc)
