This was a lovely property and the owner was very welcoming, everything was very clean, shops and bus stop a 5/10 min walk - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Our stay at this lovely Barfleur home was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for our family of seven to sleep comfortably. The home was very clean and well stocked with all the supplies that we needed, and was situated across from the beautiful harbour and just down the street from the town, which had several wonderful restaurants and shops. Valerie was extremely helpful in setting up our stay and making sure that we were greeted upon arrival on our first day. The best part for us was the serenity of the location! Our stay was quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life that we normally live. We enjoyed putting together a jigsaw puzzle, walking along the harbour, and eating in the local restaurants, which were delicious. The home was absolutely charming and impeccably kept up. We will definitely stay there again when we return to France. The only issue for us was the distance from the American Cemetery in Colville-Sur-Mer. We were not prepared for the long drive, but at this time of year, it’s difficult to find any accommodations in Normandy so we were grateful to have a place to stay which was able to accommodate our large family. Having found Barfleur, we now see it’s charm and would definitely stay there again. One other note: this property is not set up for anyone with disabilities other than on the first floor. There is a bedroom on the first floor and a bathroom on the first floor but otherwise all of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second and third floors with no lift. The house is very spacious and there was plenty of room for our party (6 adults and 5 teenagers) - a bathroom for every bedroom was perfect! Very well equipped kitchen and the house stayed nice and cool inside on a hot day.
Outside space is amazing! Expansive gardens, beautiful pool and comfortable seating areas for outside dining.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday with enough room to be together while still having our own space. Would recommend!
Excellent chalet for a large group of people. Some areas are a bit tired but in the main the chalet is very comfortable with good facilities and lovely views.
Not five star comfort but this is a good value, good house. 11 of us spent a very happy week there. The beds were comfortable and the house was warm and cosy. Everything worked. TA bonus was the free supply of firewood for the excellent wood burning fire in the living room.
The owner is not always the quickest at replying to e-mail and we used English/French Google Translate as an aid to communication but overall Olivier is OK to deal with.
We would be very happy to stay there again.
We stayed as a family (2 adults and 2 young children) with our friends (2 adults). The living room was just right for all of us and the fireplace was a bonus for the winter. Very well-renovated, clean and modern.
The chalet was really baby-friendly, with real baby cot(not those traveling ones), high chair, potty and baby bath tub.
Our landlord is staying in the next house, so we could ask him if we have questions.
Since it is an wooden house with 2 separate units, so it tends to be slightly creaky while walking on the top floor. The creaking was a bit of distraction for our kids when our neighbors' kids storm up to their beds, while we were trying get to them to sleep (they thought that we are having a party without them). But our kids got used to it after a night.
Language-wise, we were able to communicate with the landlord with our limited french and with help of Google. The landlord was very patient and always try her best to understand what we needed. It was a great stay to this chalet.
Chalet Gérardmer 4 to 7 people Rental Xonrupt-Longemer, to approx. 1.2 mi from Gérardmer - Vosges - Lorraine
The property is very clean and organised. The pool was great and clean. Close to Lisbon and the branches with Uber are 5-10 minutes drive against minimum costs. The owners were very nice, available and very customer friendly. I dearly recommend this property to families. I can assure you will have a great time!!!
The property is a lovely place with a very spacious ground, lovely swimming pool area, BBQ area and all rooms with air conditioning which it was great.
The house had everything that we needed or wanted, beautiful and peaceful place to recharged our batteries, I would very highly recommend it, only about 1 hour from Lisbon quite easy and quick on the motorway, we had the most beautiful and relaxed time, thank you to Ms Albertina, that made our stay so enjoyable.

The gîte was peaceful and comfortable. Good weather meant we had lovely breakfasts out on the decking and helped us to enjoy the lakes and lovely countryside nearby. Thank you to Gérard and Claudine for giving us lots of information and tips in addition to a very warm welcome.
Cottage Gérardmer 2 to 14 people Rental Ban-sur-Meurthe-Clefcy, to approx. 5 mi from Gérardmer - Vosges - Lorraine
Adriana had been very helpful and honest about the extent of the hill and the time to go up and down (15-20 mins). It was very steep and we had to decide lungs or hairpin bends!!. However for the views it was definitely worth it! The garden and view were so breathtaking it moved me to tears the first time I walked out! I’m emotional at times but didn’t expect that!
The house is basic Italian style but we enjoyed this. A kettle and better shower would benefit the place but we would not complain at all. Adriana and her husband were a private but friendly and helpful presence upstairs. We had a wild peacock in the garden, their many cats as well as bats around the pool at night, and a non “toxic” scorpion.
We had a medical emergency whilst there and they kindly extended our stay whilst we went to and from Luino hospital. Because of this we didn’t fully explore the area but had great meals at La Gabella and our teenage boys played football for free on the Astro turf in the village during the day. A ferry to Cannobio was great and the train really easy to use with internet tickets prebooked if there was no one in ticket office. A real hidden beauty. Top quality exterior. Very kind hosts with paintings by the owner through the house.
Can’t remember if we signed a rental agreement but felt safer giving money when we got there than paying and risking sending money before.
We stayed two weeks in this wonderful villa, which provided all the luxury we needed (and more!). We especially enjoyed the beautiful view and the pool, which is refreshing, clean and fun, as we even had good music and a refrigerator there. Except for some dogs barking once in a while (which can be annoying during the night), it is a very peaceful and quiet environment.
With a supermarket in Fiorentino, plenty of restaurants in San Marino and entertainment (beach and amusement/waterparks) at ~45-60 min drive to Rimini and Ravenna), we had everything we needed. You do need a car and be willing to drive up and down hills, but you will get beautiful views and a quiet environment in return.
All in all a great holiday! Thanks also to Luca, who was very nice and always responded very quickly to e-mail or text messages. P.s. we enjoyed your wine suggestion.
We loved our stay in this amazing apartment! The view is second to none and meant that we barely went out for meals as we felt nowhere would be as nice as sitting gazing out over the sea. There was easy access to fantastic beaches with great snorkelling and swimming. The inside of the apartment was great too, with plenty of space for 6. It is worth noting that sheets are not provided and some of the basics were lacking such as tea towel etc. Also it was extremely hot and we really could have done with some fans. Despite this we would HIGHLY recommend this apartment and we have a really fantastic time. Thank you! Hannah
The property was wonderful. The pool is exactly as pictured and has wonderful views. There is everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The covered outdoor dining area overlooking the lake was great as it was a very hot week. The gardens are beautiful. There is inflatables for the pool and table tennis equipment. The local supermarket in the nearby village has everything you need and stays open until 7.30. It is a steep narrow road to the property but we soon got used to that. Adriana was a wonderful host and her English was very good, which is useful as our Italian is terrible! There is room in the 2nd bedroom for 4 beds for my boys. We had a wonderful relaxing week. I would recommend this to anyone.
A clean and well maintained apartment. Spacious both inside and out. The owner was very attentive to our requirements as a large family with 2 adults, three children and a baby. The apartment included all cooking appliances, plus towels and bedding on request. Located less than five minutes from the quiet and pristine sand/stones beach, the local area provided many family activities such as water sports, horse riding, go karting, boat trips and cave visits.

A lovely chalet in a great location. Ski-in and ski-out, but not for complete beginners.
The chalet is very well furnished and equipped, particularly the kitchen.
Communication with the owner was good too, which can be useful.
Well priced, would thoroughly recommend this chalet for a group.
Me and my Husband stayed in this Property for 10 nights. It was amazing home from home. We have stayed in Frigiliana many times before but to be honest this must have been one of the best Property we have stayed in, it had everything we could of asked for and more. Well done, a very memorable holiday for us, I would highly recommend it and will be back soon
