This typical Canarian, detached holiday home dates from the late eighteenth century and was completely restored in 2000, in keeping with its original construction. The walls are still carved of stone, and the original wooden ceilings and tiles have been partially retained. The house is located in the west of the island near the beach and is located at the end of a street near a 10,000 m² banana plantation. It is easily accessible by car. As its location is just 200 m above sea level, there is good weather all the year round and the temperatures rarely fall below 20°C.
From the living room you have direct access to the property's own terrace and private pool. An outdoor shower is there along with wooden garden furniture and deckchairs. A grill/barbecue can be found there as well. If you have rented a car for the duration of your stay, you can easily park it in the carport on the property. The owner highly recommends use of a car.
The house is approximately 80 square metres in size and has an upstairs bedroom with two single beds, which can easily be pushed together (each 0.90m x 2m). Both beds are equipped with an anatomic mattress. The bathroom is illuminated by daylight and has a shower, hair dryer, sink and toilet. The living room is located on the ground floor and is furnished with a sofa and a TV with satellite connection and a DVD player. There is also a fully equipped open kitchen, which features a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and a coffee machine. A large wooden table and chairs invite you to have meals together. Furthermore, there is another room with a washing machine and an iron, so you have the opportunity to do your laundry while on holiday.
There is a hiking trail (GR131) directly by the house, which leads you to the "Tazacorte" beach. It is about 15-20 minutes away on foot. Many other sights on the island are located in the vicinity and can be easily explored by car. About 5 minutes' drive away is the town of La Punta, where there is a German bakery, bars and a small supermarket. The company where the bananas are prepared for export abroad is also here. You may visit it and sometimes you also have the opportunity to receive bananas as a gift. La Punta is an excellent starting point for excursions to all parts of the island. The town of Tijarafe is a 15-minute drive away, where there are banks, a pharmacy and a pizzeria. The largest town on the island is Los Llanos, which is about 12 km away. The airport is around 40 km away. By car it is about 56 minutes.
