Torre dell'Orso is a seaside town in Salento, Marina di Melendugno, in Lecce province. It is characterised by a long, fine sandy beach. The sea is clean and clear. Even in summer you can enjoy fresh and airy days here. Owing to these qualities, the beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag. There is a bus stop in front of the accommodation with connections to and from Lecce and in summer there are free beaches. It is 10km to the town centre of Otranto, where there is the easternmost point of Italy and is therefore also known as the gateway to the orient. It is 20km to Lecce. The town is also called the Florence of Puglia or the capital of baroque, owing to its beautiful churches and palaces, with regional stone fronts with floral adornments, delighting tourists all year round.
